The best time of day to take online surveys for money

Rewario SurveysWritten by Rewario TeamAugust 20, 2026 / 7 min read

Survey inventory is not a flat, constant supply. Studies launch, fill their quotas and close, which means the same wall can look empty at one hour and full of high-paying studies three hours later.

Why timing changes what you see

Research buyers launch fieldwork during business hours in the market they are studying, and quotas fill fastest in the hours when most of that market is online.

So the useful question is not 'what time is best globally' but 'what time is business hours where the study is being fielded' — which, for the studies you match, is usually your own country.

The hours that usually work best

Across consumer research, these windows in your local timezone tend to carry the most open quotas.

  • Weekday mornings: fresh fieldwork launches, quotas still wide open.
  • Weekday evenings: the heaviest member traffic, but also the largest inventory refresh.
  • Early afternoon: quieter, and often better rates on longer specialist studies.
  • Late night: thinner inventory, though leftovers from the day can still pay well.

Weekdays versus weekends

Weekdays generally win on volume because that is when fieldwork is commissioned and monitored. Weekend inventory is thinner, but competition for it is lower too.

If weekends are the only time you have, focus on offer walls and game offers alongside surveys — those do not depend on research fieldwork hours at all.

A session plan that beats checking constantly

Refreshing an empty wall every ten minutes pays nothing. Two planned sessions a day cover almost every refresh you care about.

  • One short session in the morning: claim the streak, take one or two quick studies.
  • One longer session in the evening: sort by points and finish the best-rated study you have time for.
  • Switch provider rather than reloading when the wall looks thin.

Timing matters less than matching

A perfectly timed session still screens you out if your profile does not fit the quota. An accurate, complete profile is worth more than any hour of the day.

Use timing as a tiebreaker: when you have a free half hour either way, take the morning or evening window and take the study with the best points-per-minute rate.
